Weekend Concierge

Job Summary:

Northern Jet is seeking a professional and friendly Weekend Concierge to join our team. This is a weekend only position (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) based in Grand Rapids, MI.


  • Serve as the first point of contact for all departing and arriving customers during the weekend.
  • Greet all incoming guests warmly and direct them to appropriate areas, maintaining a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner.
  • Ensure the needs of all customers are met while they wait for a departing flight.
  • Act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information.
  • Handle all phone communications, taking and distributing messages or redirecting calls to the appropriate department.
  • Manage and maintain all customer vehicle keys, with appropriate return dates noted.
  • Fulfill all external and internal clients’ needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate aspects of the Aircraft Stock Program including ordering, maintaining inventory, and stocking.
  • Provide all concierge services, including updating the event calendar, making reservations and recommendations, etc.
  • Undertake any additional duties necessary for the business operations during the weekend.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·Thorough understanding of internet marketing and general marketing strategies.

· Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications.

· Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership.

· Ability to work with corporate management, employees, media, and the larger community.

· Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams in order to present a coherent message.

· Working knowledge of social media and HTML.

· Ability to conduct and correctly interpret research and web analytics.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience in hospitality, luxury retail, etc.
  • Dedication to 100% customer satisfaction for both internal and external clients.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • Professional phone demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with customers and staff.

  • Capacity to remain composed and efficient under pressure in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Capability to lift 10-20 pounds for stocking duties.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, predominately in an office environment.
