Marketing Director

Job Summary:

Northern Jet is seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Director to join our team. This role will have the opportunity to build the Marketing vision and strategy for Northern Jet’s exciting future growth plan. Specifically, this role will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies, events, collateral, campaigns, and products for the organization. A successful candidate will have proven ability to oversee all communications involving the organization including the will development and implementation of online marketing programs and strategies to increase sales and revenue for the company.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in our headquarters in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities:

· Direct and implement the organization’s advertising and promotional activities.

· Analyze target market information to identify, recommend, and prepare effective marketing approaches.

· Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products.

· Maintain knowledge on emerging products and services.

· Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.

· Forecast, draft, implement, and oversee the department’s operating budget.

· Develop and implement a communications strategy for the corporation that builds and maintains a positive corporate brand.

· Oversee corporate communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and trade press; compile and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of such plans.

· Oversee the development and maintenance of the corporate website including methods to deliver message, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensure that all content is current and relevant.

· Provide consistent and timely information to employees through various communications programs.

· Act as corporate spokesperson and respond to members of the media in a timely manner; compose and distribute press releases as needed.

· Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with various members of the media.

· Assist executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.

· Provide suggestions concerning graphics, clarity, distribution, and press releases to Finance and Accounting departments for preparation of the company’s annual report.

· Develop innovative strategies to attract customers to the company’s brand through various web-based marketing programs and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.

· Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·Thorough understanding of internet marketing and general marketing strategies.

· Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications.

· Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership.

· Ability to work with corporate management, employees, media, and the larger community.

· Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams in order to present a coherent message.

· Working knowledge of social media and HTML.

· Ability to conduct and correctly interpret research and web analytics.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.

· At least five (5) years of in marketing and long-range planning, with experience in internet

· Large and midsize event planning and execution experience.

· Interest and experience in aviation a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, predominately in an office environment.

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Travel up to 50%
